Terms of Use

Vocationary is a self-discovery tool. It organizes your own answers into a Career Identity Profile with patterns, career categories and 3–7 directions worth exploring.

• It is not a psychological, medical or clinical assessment, and it is not professional career, educational, financial or legal advice.
• It does not predict or guarantee any outcome — admission, employment, income or satisfaction. Directions are starting points for your own exploration, not recommendations to follow.
• The optional self-reflection layer (birth information) is offered for reflection only. It has no scientific basis as a predictor and is never used to decide your directions.
• Parts of your profile text may be written or personalized with the help of artificial intelligence, based on your answers. The conclusions come from our own scoring method.

Important decisions about your education and career are yours. Consider talking them through with people you trust — parents, teachers, counselors or professionals.

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use Vocationary only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who must make any purchase and accepts these terms on your behalf.

Taking the assessment and seeing your preview is free. To see your preview, we ask for your email so we can save your results. Buying is optional.

• The full Career Identity Profile is a one-time purchase (currently US$47, or the local price shown at checkout). There is no subscription.
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Any taxes that apply to your purchase are shown at checkout before you pay.
• Access is delivered right after payment: you receive an email to create your password.

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use Vocationary for yourself. It includes one Career Identity Assessment and Profile, plus one retake after 6 months.

• Your account is for one person. Don't share your password or let someone else take the assessment on your account — their profile would be built from the wrong person's answers.
• To protect your account, we limit sessions and trusted devices and may ask for a code sent to your email when you sign in on a new device.
• You may share your own profile with people you choose (for example with the view-only parent/mentor link). Don't resell, publish or commercially distribute it.
• We may suspend accounts that are clearly being shared, resold or abused, after trying to contact you.

You can see a free preview before buying, and the full profile is delivered immediately. At checkout you ask for immediate access and acknowledge that, once your profile is available, the sale is final. See our Refund Policy.

Don't attempt to break, overload, copy or reverse-engineer the service, access other people's accounts or data, or use automated tools to scrape it.

The assessment, scoring method, texts, design and brand belong to Vocationary. Your answers belong to you; you allow us to use them to build and improve your profile as described in our Privacy Policy.

We work to keep Vocationary available and accurate, but the service is provided “as is”. We may improve or change features. If we change these terms in a material way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you by email.

To the extent the law allows, Vocationary is not liable for decisions you make based on your profile, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.

Vocationary is built on established, publicly documented career and personality research:

• Interest activities: the O*NET® Interest Profiler, the career-interest assessment developed for the U.S. Department of Labor and used on its official career site, My Next Move. This site includes information from the O*NET Career Exploration Tools by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA). Used under the CC BY-ND 4.0 license.
• Career interest profiles: the O*NET® 30.1 Database by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA), which describes more than 900 occupations. Used (adapted) under the CC BY 4.0 license.
• Personality statements: the Mini-IPIP Big Five scales (Donnellan, Oswald, Baird & Lucas, 2006), from the International Personality Item Pool (ipip.ori.org).
